Junior Regional Engineer

The Junior Engineer will assist with project documentation, data analysis, and technical support while learning the intricacies of our processes. This position can grow into a Regional Engineer with the right experience and demonstrated skills.
Key Responsibilities:

1. Clerical and Administrative Support:
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including PPAP/FAIR reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Organize project files and coordinate meetings, tracking action items for follow-up.

2. Technical Assistance:
- Support data collection and analysis related to supplier performance and quality control.
- Assist in creating and updating CAD drawings and Bills of Materials (BOM).

3. Learning and Development:
- Engage in mentorship opportunities, learning from the Senior Engineer.
- Participate in training on relevant engineering principles and AMFAS's manufacturing processes.

4. Quality and Compliance:
- Assist in conducting quality inspections and managing supplier compliance documentation.
- Help review and analyze supplier scorecards.
- Assist in factory/facility audits and follow up on corrective actions.

5. Communication and Coordination:
- Liaise between internal teams, suppliers, and customers for routine updates.
- Assist in drafting technical correspondence and reports for stakeholders.

6. Project Support:
- Assist in managing smaller projects or specific tasks within larger projects.
- Track project milestones, timelines, and deliverables to ensure adherence to schedules.
- Support in arranging shipments of parts.
Qualifications:
Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
Experience 3-5 years; internships or co-op experience in manufacturing/engineering is a plus.

- Inspecting parts in relation to drawings and other specifications
- Facility/Factory audits
- Ability to read and write in English
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Experience in Oracle NetSuite is a plus but not required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality control
- Eagerness to learn and grow
Career Path:
This role is designed as a pathway to becoming a Regional Engineer. The successful candidate will be mentored and trained to eventually take on more responsibilities and lead projects independently.

Position Overview:
We are seeking an established manufacturer’s representative firm with active Texas coverage to represent our capabilities and drive growth within the territory. This is not an individual sales position. We are looking for a professional rep organization with an established customer base, strong OEM relationships, and a line card that is heavily focused on custom electronics and complementary engineered solutions.
The ideal partner already represents products such as custom wiring, cable assemblies, enclosures, displays, interface solutions, cooling products, power solutions, or similar engineered technologies where Amfas naturally strengthens and complements the existing line card. Our goal is to align with a firm whose current product mix creates natural pull through opportunities for custom mechanical and assembly content.

What Amfas Provides
Amfas supplies custom engineered metal and plastic components, subassemblies, and finished assemblies for OEM applications. Our capabilities include metal castings, CNC machining, forgings, extrusions, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication, and other custom manufactured components built to customer specifications. We support customers with both individual component supply and higher level assembly solutions depending on program needs.
